Dear all,
Just a reminder about some virtual events coming up:
* This Friday, Jan 8, MIT Libraries will host a Wikidata edit-a-thon! Join
us at 1pm to learn about to edit Wikidata, explore Wikidata items related
to MIT, and learn more about Wikidata queries and tools. We'll also
introduce some works that are coming into the public domain, and explore
editing with these. Learn more here:

* Also on Friday Jan 8, if you want to learn more about the public domain
and determining copyright status, my colleague Katie Zimmerman, Director of
Copyright Strategy at MIT Libraries, will be offering a workshop on this
topic from 3:00-4:30. Register here:

* Friday, January 15 we will celebrate Wikipedia's 20th birthday! Watch the
global celebration from 11-12 and then join us from 12:30-2 for a panel
with contributors and editors of the MIT Press book "Wikipedia @20". Then
we'll have an informal gettogether and toast at 5pm.
