Hey Dominic,

Essentially, the wording is meant to see what people thing about the professionalism of people involved in the user group. This includes respectfulness, as we are trying to gauge whether we should improve our demeanor. It is not meant to be about the meetings, since we are still making them more formal. Additionally, there was a feeling that we didn’t need to ask about the meetings, since they are such a small part of what we do that it would be better to focus on other things instead.

I'm a little confused by the questions about professionalism. Am I being asked to rate whether people are well-organized, if interactions are always respectful, or something else? Part of the ambiguity here is because most meetings are, in the literal sense of the word, non-professional meetups which are explicitly social gatherings by design.

Hey all,

I would just like to let everyone know that Maia and I have been working on a survey for members of the user group to see the direction in which people would like to see us move in the coming year. It should take you no more than five to ten minutes to complete, but we are interested in learning more about what everyone thinks about how things have worked in the last year, as well as where we can improve in the future.

If you have any questions, please feel free to e-mail me individually, as I would be happy to help. I would ask that everyone try to please fill out the survey in the next week or so, so that we an tabulate the data within the coming weeks.
