Hi all,

Thanks for voting and sorry for the delay in confirming!

Let's have the Wiknic Saturday July 16 1-5pm. Rain date: the following weekend, Sunday July 24th 1-5pm.

Note, it was suggested to me that we discuss some future plans for the New England usergroup at this event, including who will lead it next year and also what sorts of activities we'd like to do. I'm proposing that we start that discussion at 2pm, leaving time to get settled first!

Hi all,

This year the Great American Wiknic is scheduled "for weekend dates in July, with a focus on July 9-10":

This activity just involves having a picnic in a park somewhere, and inviting people to bring food and talk about Wikipedia!

It looks like the Boston area hasn't had a summer Wiknic in a couple of years, but in the past this event has been on in the Boston Common.

Would people be interested in getting together on Sat July 9 or Sun 10? If you're not around that weekend, would a later weekend in July work? We haven't had a general meetup in a long time either, so it could also be a good time to catch up and talk about plans for editathons and events for the rest of the year, and ideas that we all have for what to do next.

Please discuss! If there's interest but no consensus on a good date, I will make a poll with various dates so we can gauge availability.
