Hi,

Wikimedia developers are working on a new search system named CirrusSearch. From yesterday this search option is available as in secondary mode. You all are requested to test and provide feedback on this.

Few key improved features,
* CirrusSearch updates the search index in near real time. So You should be able to search for your changes as soon as you make them.
* CirrusSearch indexes expanded templates.
* Most of the special search syntax is the same.  You can read the syntax here: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Search/CirrusSearchFeatures

How to test CirrusSearch

You can get its results by performing a normal search and then added '&srbackend=CirrusSearch' to the URL. Follow the example below,

Present Search:https://bn.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=বিশেষ%3ASearch&profile=all&search=একটি+রাষ্ট্র&fulltext=Search

CirrusSearch : https://bn.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=বিশেষ%3ASearch&profile=all&search=একটি+রাষ্ট্র&fulltext=Search&srbackend=CirrusSearch

If we think that this new search system is performing better that the existing one then we can request to enable this feature as the primary search system.
