Hi,
Achal Prabhala had once casually but rightly asked , Are Malayalam Wikipedians "on steroids" ? I think I will have to agree with his remarks :)
After the success of 5 Malayalam Wikiacademy this year, 3 more are planned for this month of October alone.
The 5th WikiAcademy was held at Kozhikode (Calicut) on Oct 10, 2010.
This Wikipedia workshop was attended by over 76 Wiki enthusiasts.
The upcoming Wikiacademies on this month of October are
6) Kannur ( Oct 30, 2010)
Venue : S.S.A Hall, Municipal Higher Secondary School, Kannur.
7) Kottayam ( Oct 30, 2010)
Venue : Baker Memorial HSS Kottayam Auditorium
8) Kasaragod ( Oct 31, 2010)
Venue :District Resource centre IT@School Project Kasaragod (DRC Kasaragod),Near Govt Guest House Kasaragod
This will cover 6 of 14 districts of Kerala state. There are plans for Wiki Academies for the rest of the districts in the coming months. AFAIK, at least 3 more are in pipeline in November.
