We would like to organize a press-event (Meet the press) with you . This will be for an hour or so. We will also invite the local wikipedian after the press event for a meetup with you. If you agree.

Both event will be in same venue.

We will try to settle with Banglalink regarding zerowiki. However, if they won't agree for a press event, we will do a simple meet the press event where you will share some of the global target and experience of wikipedia project and we will share our plan and activities from WMBD.

Please share your idea in this regard so that we can proceed with the logistics arrangement.

Hi everyone, thank you so much for your enthusiastic support! (And I'm sorry for my delay in replying, was out of the office much of yesterday.)

I will put language support top of my list to address with the carriers. 

Our goal is to have them provide free access to all Wikipedia languages and all Wikimedia projects. There are a few carriers who only give free access to zero.wikipedia.org aimed at feature phones on 2G networks. We are working on product solutions to make a better user experience through m.wikipedia.org even on 2G networks. This is a work in progress. 

Many thanks to those of you who want to meet. I am open on Nov 13 any time after 3 pm. How can we best organize this? 

I have to tell you, I am so excited about my trip to Dhaka. I am thrilled to work with the Bangladeshi community. We can create a great model for how Wikipedia Zero can engage with the more advanced local communities, to support the organic movement.

প্রিয় সবাই,
গতকাল ১লা নভেম্বর উইকিমিডিয়া বাংলাদেশের আয়োজনে ১৫ তম ঢাকা উইকিমিটআপ আয়োজিত
হয়েছে। ঢাকার পাবলিক লাইব্রেরি অডিটোরিয়ামের সামনের চত্বরে উইকিপিডিয়ানদের
এবারের মিটআপ বসে এবং এতে ১২ জনেরও বেশি নতুন ও পুরোনো উইকিমিডিয়ান অংশ নেন।

এই মিটআপে শুধুমাত্র উইকিমিটআপের জন্য তৈরি করা আমাদের চমৎকার নতুন ব্যানারেরও
উদ্বোধন করা হয়েছে। আয়োজনের শুরুতে উইকিমিডিয়ানদের সাথে পরিচিতি পর্ব শেষে
উইকিপিডিয়ার সাথে সবার পরিচয় কিভাবে হল সে কথা আমরা সবার কাছ থেকে শুনি। এরপর
উইকিপিডিয়া ও বাংলা উইকিপিডিয়ার শুরু দিককার কিছু কথা তুলে ধরেন উইকিমিডিয়া
বাংলাদেশের কোষাধ্যক্ষ আলী হায়দার খান তন্ময়। উইকিপিডিয়ার কারিগরি দিকগুলোতে
কিভাবে অবদান রাখা যায় এ ব্যাপারে  আলোচনা করেন উইকিমিডিয়া বাংলাদেশের
নিবার্হী কমিটির সদস্য  নাসির খান সৈকত। এছাড়া উইকিপিডিয়া সম্পর্কে আলোচনায়
অংশ নেন তানভির মোর্শেদ (উইকিমিডিয়া বাংলাদেশের নিবার্হী কমিটির সদস্য),
নুরুন্নবী চৌধুরী হাছিব (বাংলা উইকিপিডিয়ার প্রশাসক) ও অন্যন্য উইকিপিডিয়ানগন।
এবারের মিটআপে অন্যান্যদের মধ্যে উপস্থিত ছিলেন উইকিপিডিয়ান সুফি, আরিফ,
আফজাল, তৌকির, ফজলুল আজিম সহ আরো অনেকে।

উইকিমিডিয়া বাংলাদেশের নিয়মিত আয়োজনের অংশ হিসেবে আগামী ডিসেম্বর মাসেও আমরা
১৬ তম ঢাকা মিটআপের আয়োজন করবো এবং শিঘ্রই এ সংক্রান্ত ঘোষণা দেয়া হবে। আশা
করছি আপনারা সবাই এতে অংশ নেবেন।
