I am writing to share news of Queering Wikipedia, an April 2019 conference in Austria for LGBT+ Wikipedia editors and people who edit LGBT topics. See the conference page here.

At this three day conference about 70 people will convene to discuss how to manage coverage of LGBT+ topics in Wikipedia and also support LGBT editors.

This is a 3-day conference and the first wiki LGBT major event. If anyone in Bangladesh is interested in attending then I would like to support any applicants who themselves have some support from the local community to attend. Geographic diversity is a goal in awarding scholarships, so if anyone editing in Bangla has a history of LGBT editing or experience in LGBT advocacy, then I expect the scholarship committee would award at least one scholarship if anyone from Bangladesh applied.
