Anirudh I believe PH already stated they are against the candidate you are referring too, the way I see it we, regionally, have two choice: PH change their stand or India compromise. This if we want to do it one voice.
FYI am cool with compromising as long as there are discussion. If not, we can always go individually. So the question is are we going to do this together or not? On Apr 8, 2012 6:41 PM, "Anirudh Bhati" anirudhsbh@gmail.com wrote:

To add, I believe there are people from Indian chapter and Bangladesh in this list? How do you guys feel?
The Foundation has identified "Global South" countries as a focal point
for the movement's strategic growth internationally. I expect that many of the future Global South programs will target countries in Asia. For that reason alone, we must have community representation on the WMF board to ensure that these programs ultimately empower volunteers, and allow them to autonomously address local and regional concerns. _______________________________________________ Wikimedia-asia-chapters mailing list Wikimedia-asia-chapters@lists.wikimedia.org https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/wikimedia-asia-chapters
