A good idea but  I'm afraid I  do  not  subscribe to  FaceBook or any other social neteorks. I'll continue to  rely  on  the mailing  list  for official  communications.

Kindest regards to  all,

Chris

A nice idea indeed. I must mention that two of the Asian chapters (WMID being first and WMBD the second) have the largest number of followers that even Wikimedia page does not. So we can probably poke the individual chapter pages time to time to let them know and of course for a regional outreach.

Hi guys,

I would like to invite all Wikimedia Asia mailing list members to please join our new Facebook group. :)

The group will not replace the mailing list, but we hope we'll get more traffic there since I bet most of us use Facebook more than check e-mails. :P

Regards,

Josh
