a few more points want to ad

As if I were a decision maker, I would suggest criteria as follows
a. the candidate is geographically from Asia region
b. the candidate is familiar with the current situation & historical background of the development of Asian chapters
c. the candidate shall be already involved in the regional communication among Asian chapters
d. the candidate shall also enjoys a good relationship with chapters & groups in other parts of world

actually I dun have any feeling about the current candidates with an Asian Chapter endorsement
as both of them really lack the criteria b c d in my checklist above

one probably even have chance to talk with Asian Chapters in Berlin
but seems he/she had not grab the chance according to my knowledge
I personally really doubt that he/she will do such things sth that really dun do even he want ask sth
(ie even I did see him/her on this list either)

So how much they feel about representing us frankly.

(also worth to ask, if a joint decision is expected, should who intend to nominate to talk more before the nomination with the rest of the list?)

Hi all

As I am not on the board of WMHK or any other, only personal view and insight here

and frankly I really dunno should I speak anything about my impression on candidates
as I know some of them & I don't know the others, and I have much deeper level of communication with some of them.

For myself, Phoebe, Lodewijk & Liam for quite a few years, and we do have lot of opinion exchange.

Personally, I would like to see Phoebe continue to serve on the board, as she is somebody we can really talk with.

Particio & Alice are also among these kinds of people, though I knew them for less years, though we do have constructive conversation on things.

Lodewijk also a good people to support, as he is not only somebody you can talk to, he is also keen to help people and always concern about dormant chapter, I think he might be a good addition on the board (if we can have him, also warning: I know him really well, and lot of personal interest here btw)

The other candidates, to be fair, I would really remain not to comment on them, as I dun know them in person, no opinion exchange with them.

My suggestion base on my impression that as we don't see any candidate really feels and shows his/her support (at least not enough for me) on WM Asia, and even ourselves really lack of enough opinion exchange for a joint decision, I would rather each chapter supports those who can talk with would be the best interest in the matter.

One plus point of conducting a regional effort in this election is that we stand a better chance of winning a candidate. So IMHO it is much more beneficial if we go together than individually.

We could review all four candidates here and see what's good and what's not about them. I remember Butch and Eugene from WMPH asked why WMID supports Craig in Berlin and Kartika had elaborated that part earlier in this thread, but I also would like to hear why they are against Theo.

And I encourage other chapters to also give their view of the candidates. Bangladesh?
