La vuelta es id?ntica pero en sentido inverso :). Lo que ten?s que averiguar
con quien te aloje es la posibilidad de llegar a la estaci?n a pie, o si vas
a necesitar tomarte alg?n colectivo (bus).

How many people, with their luggage, will normally fit in one of these
taxis?

Good idea. I arrive from Sao Paulo at 23:10 on Aug 21. Anyone else in
that time?

Cheers,
Sundar

Taxis are regular sedan cars, you can carry as much luggage as it fits in
the rear trunk.

If you are three or more with much luggagge its probably better to get a
minivan

Ask at Manuel Tienda Le?n counter in the Airport.

Carlos.

Thanks Carlos!
I printed out your email just in case. It would help a lot of participants.
Great, great job!

Ray and Jim:
I will bring something with Wikimania-logo to be notified easier.
You can find me around boarding gate, or in a lounge.

See you in Houston! (and in Buenos Aires)

Couple quick updates:

* Room correction -- we'll be in an awesome basement room with comfy
couches rather than room F as previously reported. There will be signs
pointing the way; you should be able to hit the general registration
desk starting at 9am Tuesday, then wander down to find us.

* For food on Tuesday, the conference organizers will need to know if
anybody has special dietary requirements; there will be pizza and
empanadas (ovo-lacto friendly) but for instance if we've got any vegans
coming they'll need to know to provide food.

Hope to see you all there, or online!

I hope that I won't need anything, but it's happened before when traveling
that I need to replace some part of my laptop (e.g. the power cord) or need
a computer-related item.  When that happens, it's not fun to search around
in an unfamiliar city for a good shop to buy computer parts.

Can someone with local knowledge, please suggest a place or two that would
be a good, reputable place to buy such items in Buenos Aires?   (e.g.
http://www.vobis.com/ which is in Berlin, or http://www.jr.com/ in NYC)    I
would like to write <http://wikiatic.com/wikisearch/search?q=write%20>this
information down on paper, just in case.

Thanks,

Aude

Relatively next to the Wikimania hub is Galer?a Jard?n, a sort of megamall
with tons of computing shops (Florida 537,
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=Florida+537,+Buenos+Aires,+Argentina&sll=-34.608418,-58.373161&sspn=0.399559,0.891953&ie=UTF8&t=h&z=16&iwloc=A).
It has not the very best prices in town but it is fairly acceptable and
you'll find almost guaranteed supply.

>From CCGSM, you can go there by foot (~10 blocks) or by metro (from line B
from Uruguay station to Florida station, ~5 minutes).

galio
