In Varenna with your registration code, transport from the railway station Varenna-Esino to Esino Lario is free.

there will be volunteers every day at the station.

also the bar (coffee il binario) at the station will provide you information if it is late and the volunteers are not there.

the railway station in Varenna is very small. you just need to get out of the train and go to the exit. Look for the bus.

In general if a train from Milan is arriving, the bus waits for it. the timetable was design also to have busses (for what is possible) when trains arrive.

please look for our volunteers. we are noting down names to facilitate the registration and it is a good idea to reserve a ticket on next bus in case you arrive and there are no seats available (we put as many busses as possible but it can be possible since we don’t have data about your arrival in Varenna - or for the data we have the number of busses seams appropriate).

Oh yes, good point, it is a biggish building. But still, I'd call 2 platforms, 2 lines about as small as things get other than tiny rural stops. I just meant that one is unlikely to get confused and wait at the wrong part of the carpark for the bus (as I've been known to do all too many times, in strange lands like Birmingham...)
