For those of you who're in Hong Kong, come join Ivo Kruusamägi and myself at 15:00 today (Thursday) (an hour later from now on. we can wait if you reply) at Kwun Tong Station Exit A1 for some off-the-beaten-track excitement with Hong Kong culture.
Over the last few years, Deryck's been giving his personal tour of Kwun Tong District to visitors from overseas. Kwun Tong is primarily a residential and commercial district with the highest population density among all 18 districts of Hong Kong. Of particular interest is the intimate mix of old and new in the area - including a 40-year-old "temporary" market just two streets away from a skyscraper shopping mall! Also, you've probably guessed it - Kwun Tong District is also Deryck's home district :)
