Amen to that, however I don't think we should rule out WikiAss and WikiCauc too quickly... (I cant think of another dirty word that would actually work now, but still). Yes, I agree WikiFest would be a good idea, and probably one of the best here. It reminds me of KiaFest or a rock concert, but it's still good. We can always append the year on the end, like so: WikiFest06 or WikiFest '06. I actually do like that name, almost as much as Wikimania, which I agree ManiaWiki would be a bad idea.

 

FYI, WikiWorld was thrown out, a few times, actually, but rescinded out of fear of trademark infringement of LinuxWorld and MacWorld. Again, are we sure we want CamelCase?

I'd vote for Wiki2006 as being very workable. I am surprised WikiWorld has not been offered, or some derivative e.g. "Wiki World Congress." WikiThrong, WikiCrush, Wiki Ass (for assembly), and WikiCauc (for caucus) should probably be discarded outright. Why not WikiCamp?

 

I SUGGEST WikiFest: it contains both social and professional connotations, the connotation of being annual, and an atmosphere that is celebratory, festive, and purposive. I muchly prefer it to Wikimania.
