If I remember correctly they started uploading videos to Commons and YouTube almost immediately after the conference, though it is only 2-3 months later that all the individual lecture and panel videos were up.

Please don't aim at perfection first: uploading to Commons needs a lot of conversion work and shell user intervention. Please upload to archive.org first as suggested in https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimania/Handbook#Upload , this will make the videos available immediately and also save the step of conversion to the shell user.
