Carl,
There will most likely be shared accommodation options available, as the London organizers will also be trying
to promote and arrange for roomshare and soliciting local people who want to put people up during the conference week.
The dormitories in London were more expensive and less convenient than the shared hotel close to the
conference venue that we have
contracted with for housing scholarship people, as well as staff and other attendees who pay directly.
The lowest standard shared room for two people will be approximately 90 GBP which includes full breakfast
and internet. So if you are awarded a scholarship you will be housed there with a roommate - no cost to you.

Dear friends,
I've contacted the scholarship comitee a couple of days ago but
nobody have sent an answer.
After Wikimania in Hongkong I've booked and payed my flight to
London. So I need only a place to sleep (dorm), because the hotels
and B&B's are to expensive for me as a 100% volunteer.
On the
application form (scholarship request
of the german language chapters) there was no space for comments.
Last year
you could choose between
partial- and full scholarship...
Best regards,
Carl
