If it helps - I'm arriving at about 10pm on the 5th (the day before the dorms are available) so I have booked a room at the Regal Airport Hotel ( http://www.regalhotel.com/Regal-Airport-Hotel/Main/hotel-home.aspx ). It isn't all that cheap (1350 HKD / 188 AUD / 174 USD) but it's only for one night. It's also convenient if you wish to visit Macau or locations on Lantau Island on the day before you leave.

a room for one night (e. g. people with their return flight on 14th
