Hi,
I finally managed to publish the code in a repo and will use this thread to provide information on how to install and test the jury tool. Notice that, at the time of this writing, the tool only shows the setup workflow, and is still missing the jury controls, etc.
The tool is based on Symfony 2, so all PHP developers are invited to collaborate. Here are the installation instructions
1. Clone the repository
git clone https://git.gitorious.org/wiki-loves-monuments-pa/wlmpa-jurytool.git
2. Change into the repository and use composer to download symfony
cd wlmpa-jurytool php route/to/composer.phar update
3. Edit app/config/parameters.yml and set the database name, user name and password
4. Create schema
app/console doctrine:schema:create
5. Create a super user
app/console fos:user:create --super-admin admin test@example.com pa$$w0rd
6. Use your browser to navigate to wlmpa-jurytool/web/app_dev.php (the exact URL depends on your web server configuration)
7. Log in using the administrator credentials created in step 5, and follow instructions.
Use this thread to post question about the installation process above. The code should be changing rapidly so things that do not work right now (there are plenty things that do not work) could be working in a couple of days.

Hi David,
we tried the link here yesterday in Moscow because Putnik wanted to see it, but unfortunately the link seems to be broken. Or am I extremely naive if I just click on it?

Yes, the link is meant to clone the repository and run an installation locally. Just clicking on it will take you to a Page Not Found error.

Hello,
I did install it for Wikimedia France, but not sure about what to choose in the « config » step. Is there a documentation available somewhere ? I tried https://gitorious.org/wiki-loves-monuments-pa/pages/Home but it is empty...
Best regards, Sylvain.

Thanks for trying the installation! Did you reach the configuration pages? If so, please let me know if you have any feedback about the installation process and the steps I listed above.
About the configuration steps, I've been hoping to upload a video showing how to configure the tool, and opening a thread about the different configuration options, but haven't had the time to follow up on my access to the Labs project. I'll try my best to have that thread started this weekend (plus other changes to the tool itself).
But then again, just by trying the installation process you are being of great help. Thanks!

Well, except for the part where my server's PHP version was too old to use Composer, the installation went smoothly, the steps are very clear.
But looking at the config part and I'd appreciate some explanations about what the options mean : how do the rounds system work, and the binary scoring (if two jury members review a file, one saying "good" and the other "bad", what does it do ?), etc.
For this part : Commons category Plain text file
I guess the "plain text file" is a one-shot import ? But what about the "Commons Category" ? Do we have to import everything at once or can the jury make the first round of evaluation "on the fly" during the contest ? In France, we had 27 000 photos to evaluate. In 20 days, it is very short so if the jury has 50 days (assuming they start sorting out the photos the first day of the contest) its better for them.
And I want to thank you for creating the tool, it looks awesome !
Best regards, Sylvain.

Wouldn't it be nicer if someone installs and maintains the jury tool and offers it as a service to the other countries?

The jury tool, at least last year, was offered on the wmf labs.

I'm not worried right now about how will the tool be hosted, and hosting it in labs is of course a good idea. The thing with installing the tool is that all local teams can start trying out the tool now and checking if it fits their workflows, and in the best of cases contributing code or at least ideas.

After pushing my changes today, there's one additional step in the installation process, see below:
The tool is based on Symfony 2, so all PHP developers are invited to collaborate. Here are the installation instructions
1. Clone the repository
git clone https://git.gitorious.org/wiki-loves-monuments-pa/wlmpa-jurytool.git

cd wlmpa-jurytool php route/to/composer.phar update
3. Edit app/config/parameters.yml and set the database name, user name and password
4. Create schema
app/console doctrine:schema:create
5. Install assets (javascript code, images)
app/console assets:install
6. Create a super user
app/console fos:user:create --super-admin admin test@example.com pa$$w0rd
7. Use your browser to navigate to wlmpa-jurytool/web/app_dev.php (the exact URL depends on your web server configuration)
8. Log in using the administrator credentials created in step 5, and follow instructions.
