Hi everyone,
I apologize for the large delay, there were some technical issues to sort out, but finally the calendar is here:
https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Wlm_calendar_2015.pdf
This is a web version. The print version is over 300 MB so I can't upload it to Commons. If anyone wants to print the calendar, please let me know and I will send you the files.
Also, please advise where the best place to link to it in Commons is.
Sincerely, —Yan (Ynhockey).
Happy to help upload the 300MB version to Commons.

I imagine that it is possible to use the logo in a foundation-funded project, but you are right that technically CC-BY-SA means you can take out any part and use it for any purpose. Can anyone here quickly give additional opinions on this? It shouldn't be a problem to remove the logo. FYI: the logo does appear in 2012's calendar, we have the printed version but cannot find the online version right now.

IANAL, but this is a use of the logo permitted by our trademark policy, and should not affect the licensing of the whole work. The license is correct.
The full-resolution files will be available on Commons shortly. I am uploading them.

Apologies for the delay: we have run into an actual bug on UploadWizard. On the bright side, we have devs actively investigating. Stay tuned!
(Rexford, this just might have something to do with the failed uploads you were experiencing!)

Actually, I'd rather help developers identify and resolve this, and confirm it works, to prevent others (perhaps less technical than me, or not aware of how to get help from develoeprs) from running into the same problem. I don't consider it a waste of time at all.

I think the same could be done with wider linking to #wikimedia-devs and phabricator in error messages and stuff :) --Base

Wikimedia logos are either CC-BY-SA-3.0 or PD.

Uses can be made per the terms of the trademark policy https://wikimediafoundation.org/wiki/Trademark_policy.

What me and other users who shared similar thoughts with me (Ahonc and Antanana to be precise) call a calendar is usually a thing that has names of days of week written in it. The calendar presented seem to have just numbers. Is it actually useful as a calendar?
Also I've noticed that the House with Chimaeras's picture has wrong license mentioned - it's CC BY-SA 4.0 actually but in the calendar it's 3.0. I think they should be compatible so I think it should be all right from the legal POV but it's a bit strange to use older version of license.

License: I will check and fix it.
The calendar's usefulness: it wasn't actually my decision, but I think the tought behind this was that since there are so many countries with different backgrounds (different religious holidays, different days off in general), it wouldn't be realistic for us to create a version for each country (even among the Christian countries there are major differences). Therefore if you really need to print this, it might be a good idea to come up with a page that will be attached to each picture page and will have your country's particular holidays and intricacies. For example, like this: http://www.timeanddate.com/calendar/create.html - I am not sure if there's a freely licensed version of this anywhere at the moment. I'll check what else we can do about this.

A calendar generator shouldn't be hard. The tedious part would be to fill the festivities database for all those countries and regions.
Note that Sebastian Wallroth has already done this for WLM pictures of each competition. Not sure what they look like from the inside though, and what the license specifics are.I tried to get more info via twitter, but didn't succeed so far.
