Legal Questions:
From WM-IT people who organized this competition received an email
indicating the legal questions surrounding the Italian legislation: known
the doubt we will get in touch with the councill of Alghero and the
council's attorney has assured us that the photographs of the monuments does
not violate any law and that could be made freely.
It's not simply up to the mayor to authorize or not some kind of photographs.
Please refer to "Codice dei beni culturali e il paesaggio" (rough
translation: Cultural common goods and landscape code) available here:
http://www.beniculturali.it/mibac/multimedia/MiBAC/documents/1240240310779_…
(sorry, I can't find an english version).
Art. 10 lists what it is meant as "cultural common goods", art. 106
describes the personal use which doesn't include any right of
redistribution, ecc.
I strongly raccomend to you to hire an attorney to double check that
what you're organizing is feasible and, moreover, legal.
