One more request:
Since this is the first time WLM is working with paid translators for our competition, I'd love to hear your feedback on the translations that were done for the DEI report. Either good or bad, so we can loop them back to the translator for next time, or choose a different person for future translations. We intend to translate more WLM materials (inline with the outcome of the DEI report and with our Grant Request 2022), so it is important to hear about the quality of these first translations and learn from your feedback.

Have a good weekend everyone!

Best,
Ciell

Hi everyone,

Our researcher forĀ  Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in Wiki Loves Monuments has completed her report, which is now available on Wikimedia Commons and besides in English also available in Arabic, Bahasa Indonesia, Brazilian-Portuguese, Chinese Mandarin, French, Hausa, Hindi, Spanish, Urdu, and isiZulu.
A blogpost on the topic has been published on our own website wikilovesmonuments.org and also on the WMF blog site Diff.

The research is now finished. The international team will use these outcomes to improve DEI in our photo competition in general, and as one of the tools to develop a multi-year strategy for WLM in the upcoming year.

A big thank you for the ones who were willing to take the time to talk to Mesha, to proofread the reports, and to provide overall input for the research.

Best,
Ciell
