Hello Taweetha,

Concerning point 4: I work on those. Just as in 2013.

Hi All,

It is less than two months from September where we will open upload
for participants.  There are still ambiguities about the fate of the
international team and the tasks that the team used to work on.  We
need to make a decision on this and move on quickly.  It is difficult
to do a press release or talk to a new partner if we are uncertain
about our own internal process.

I believe that having an international team and international prizes
can add a lot of value to the competition.  The costs/resources may be
drawn/collected from the participating national competitions. However,
after two weeks with no response to the proposal, I now assume that no
one else is interested in pursuing the idea.

Here are five areas that we have to think about...

1. The international website: http://www.wikilovesmonuments.org and
the sub-domains xx.wikilovesmonuments.org
Who is in charge of this?  What will we do about it?  Last year, we
advertised the URL th.wikilovesmonuments.org for participants to
access our site.  I suspect that we can't do it anymore.  On top of
that if the information is outdated, it would confuse participants
when we launch our campaign.  Many people just google WLM and click on
the first page that shows up.

2. Common info page:
 * https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Wiki_Loves_Monuments_2014
 * https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Wiki_Loves_Monuments_2014/International_Team
    Still recruiting for the team?
 * https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Wiki_Loves_Monuments_2014/Participating_countries
    The number of participating countries is 22.  The map hasn't been
updated for a while.

3. General coordination on critical tools:
  * Central notice
  * Upload wizard
We wish that both of them are working the same way as last year.

4. Marketing pitch/target group:
  * We use to lean on the popularity of the world record and the total
sum of international prizes.  Can we still point out to the fact that
WLM has attained the world record in 2012?
  * Can we still use the WLM logo in certificates, trophies and other
materials as usual?
  * Do we need to produce a bilingual website for a national
competition?  Do we have to participate in non-core activities like
the central survey after the competition?
  * Assuming we have no international prizes this year but we have it
next year, should we include finalists from this year into
consideration of the next year prizes?

5. Central contact point:
  * We seem to have this mailing list as the only channel for all
communication.  Is this correct?

Best,
Taweethaも
