October is the time period for the national organisers. The plan is to have judging take place 'over a period of 3 weeks in November'. 
  1. Based on previous experience how many hours work do you think the juror would need to take part? It would be very useful when asking people to give them an estimate of the number of hours you are asking them to work on this. 
It's reviewing 200-500 photos over three rounds in a rating system. It highly depends on the person how much time they would spend on it, but I would be surprised if they would spend more than 8-10 hours on it. It also includes a little reading up, explaining and discussing the edge cases.  
  1. Is an international jury member required to put a rating and comment by all the 300-500 images or could they for instance add a rating to their favorite 50 images?
There is a three round system. First they are asked to rate all pictures, 1-5 stars. Then we allow jury members to 'veto' an image (say it's unworthy) and if a few members agree, we remove it from the selection. Then we have a bit of discussions about the top-40/50, and from that top selection, they are asked to rank their favorite 25 and add a comment.  
  1. I know that WLM held the Guinness World Record for largest photography competition in the world, is this still true? This would be a helpful fact to bring up when encouraging people to be judges. 
Yes, it is still recognised as the world's largest photography contest by GWR.

* They must have the time to commit to judge 200-500 photos in three rounds over a period of 3 weeks in November
* While jury members can participate in a local competition, their photos cannot participate in the international finale
* Jury members should not participate in any national jury for 2016 (previous years is OK)
* It would be helpful if the juror would be willing to share their real name for the jury report.
* Jury work is in a volunteer capacity.
