Hi all,

it all depends on the definition :) I'd like to keep using the Guinness World Record definition (while harsh, it is the clearest) - which put the 2012 results at some 3,53,000. We probably broke that. However, we will not be certain until the nominees for the international jury came in - and we know for sure all countries that have images submitted actually 'participate' according to their definition.

So... we'll know more on November 1! But so far, it looks hopeful :)

Don't forget that Israel has some days left in the competition.

Cristian Consonni, 01/10/2013 20:51:

... seems very close to the one of 2012:
https://toolserver.org/~emijrp/wlm/stats.php

~6k picture less on the last day but ~6k pictures more in the next-to-last-day.
But there are also ~7k pictures more on the first day and ~4k less on
Sept, 23rd.

Platonides is able to provide more accurate results via the database, by the way. Yesterday at European midnight we were a hundred or so above 2012, which however likely meant a bit less than 2012 considering deletions and mistakes; Americas should have brought us a bit over that.
Sadly however, the number of uploaders has decreased (11904 uploaders and 11914 authors, as of 0.50 CEST).
