Hi Jorund,

(sorry for not getting the right o)
thanks for the update! Just to give Nina's remarks a little contest, the quote she gave is from me, when I was making a general remark about approaching European sponsors (big companies that need usually a lot of time to make a decision).

It is a very tight schedule to organize something, but I definitely hope it can work out. Jorund is right that the first priority lies with the database to create the lists - besides that cooperation with that organization is helpful in many other ways. It is good that there are also contacts with other partners.

Glad to hear that Nina wants to help Jorund, I'm sure that once the contacts with the partners are ongoing there is plenty of stuff to do, and your help will be appreciated!

Jorund: please let us know if there is any way we can help!

Best regards,

Lodewijk

I don´t know what´s going one i Norway. I offered to help in april, but I don´t think Jørund Leknes want me to. I told him that i have been on the mailinglist all the time and could help .
What is worring me is that no one in the  Norwegian Wikipedia is working with this, an Leknes has only a few editings in the Wiki and don´t know the wiki-comunity.  You say "it is too late now to start something from scratch" and that is what they are doing.

There are no lists. They will use a dump of this: http://www.kulturminnesok.no/ who has 100 000 articles.  They have not asked anyone to make the lists out of the dump. In Norway it´s summer hollydays until middle of august.

Hi Nina and everyone else. :) I'll take this as an opportunity to inform you all on the status of WLM in Norway. I have benefited from advice from both Lodewijk and Maarten.

First of all - I am not organising this on my own in Norway. I am on the board of Wikimedia Norway, and the board appointed me to lead the work with WLM in Norway. But the whole board of Wikimedia Norway is involved in the work. H@r@ld have agreed to work together with me on processing the dump into lists. But most importantly we need the dumps with the proper licence. That have been our main target lately, and I think we will have a final decision during the coming week.

Fortidsminneforeningen (The Society for Preservation of Norwegian Ancient Monuments) have agreed to be a partner with WMNO for WLM in Norway. We have contacted sponsors.

I am still confident that we can make it to a good WLM in Norway.

Regards,
Jørund Leknes
