Thanks, Ciell, for the links.

I would like to make a suggestion about improving the documentation of winners.

I was prompted to ask about jury reports as I was trying to summarise how well Ukrainian pictures did at the international level, and the task turned out to be... challenging [1]. Thus I wanted to check if we have not missed anything, so I started to look for information on the international contest, and jury reports could have been an official source for that information, if I wanted to also check honorable mentions, as a jury report is, as you said, an extensive document. Now, I understand that creating a jury report is additional work. But maybe honorable mentions can be shown on Wikimedia Commons as well? As a subsection of winners? For example, the blog posts you mentioned are showing only 10 winners, but even last time 15 pictures were used in a blogpost [2]. So this basically means that winners from 11 to 15 from 2021 are recorded only on Wikimedia Commons [3] and social media, and honorable mentions -- only on WLM social media channels.

I understand that honorable mentions are not getting anything material, if this page is up-to-date (it does mention 2020 in some places, so I am not so sure) [4], but still some of our contributors might be motivated by better showcasing of their works and their countries' cultural heritage.

Thank you as well for the great work in all of the national competitions, and helping all the local participants! We as the international team would have been nowhere without the local organisers!!

And by "you" I mean, of course, all the national teams. Thanks all!!

I've asked the rest of the international team about the jury report, but we've left the concept of publishing the extensive jury reports a few years back. Instead, you can now find a more concise report in the form of a blog about the winning photo's on Diff (WMF's blog site) and our own website wikilovesmonuments.org. In this blogpost we combine inspiration from the comments from the jury with the stories of the photographers to narrate the the 2021 Wiki Loves Monuments winners.

Vriendelijke groet,
Best,

Ciell

And thanks to all volunteers and staff working on the project locally!

Ciell, could you please tell us if there is a plan to publish a jury report this year?
