Thanks, Ciell, for the links.
I would like to make a suggestion about improving the documentation of winners.
I was prompted to ask about jury reports as I was trying to summarise how well Ukrainian pictures did at the international level, and the task turned out to
be... challenging [1]. Thus I wanted to check if we have not missed
anything, so I started to look for information on the international
contest, and jury reports could have been an official source for that information, if I wanted to also check honorable mentions, as a jury report is, as you said, an extensive document. Now, I understand that creating a jury report is additional work.
But maybe honorable mentions can be shown on Wikimedia Commons as well? As a subsection
of winners? For example, the blog posts you mentioned are showing only 10
winners, but even last time 15 pictures were used in a blogpost [2]. So this basically means
that winners from 11 to 15 from 2021 are recorded only on Wikimedia Commons [3]
and social media, and honorable mentions -- only on WLM social media
channels.
I understand that honorable
mentions are not getting anything material, if this page is up-to-date
(it does mention 2020 in some places, so I am not so sure) [4], but still some of our
contributors might be motivated by better showcasing of their works and their countries' cultural heritage.
