Creating lists to include the photos locally?
Taking pictures of monuments that are going to be not monuments anymore?
Raising awareness? Smth else?

There can be solutions to look for based on your answer(s) :)

I suggest taking photographs of every monument in risk to be removed. In a WLM fashion.

But one needs articles where these pictures can be used, of course


A list of communist monuments would fit? There is one in English Wikipedia.[1] A table with the name, sculptor, location, and image.

Also, can we upload the images to Commons and remove them later?[2] Until they can be restored in the future.

 With a very few exceptions, pictures of these monuments can not be uploaded on Commons due to the lack of freedom of panorama in Ukraine. Unfortunately, most of the Ukrainin users do not understand the concept of freedom of panorama and upload them anyway. In such cases, the files must be nominated for deletion.
