As an update: we have been receiving a lot of issues and PRs from GSOC applicants as part of the process. These are of varying quality. We're working on it. 

At the same time, we have fixed some outstanding major bugs and concerns. Some are shipped to production, some are in beta. This also means it would be helpful if you can confirm that any bug still happens in montage-beta. 

If you would like access to beta, or seriously help with testing to support Abhinav, please ping me on Telegram with your experience and mediawiki username, and I'll add you to the betatester group.

I am glad to see activity around Montage, but we are only 3 months away
from WLM2026, and I have less and less confidence that some critical
issues raised during WLM2025 (image resolution threshold, voting
statistics) will be resolved this year.

I would be grateful to the developers if they could prioritize those
issues where fixes have been already proposed.
