Right. I also noticed most of Flickr uploads were old photos already available on Flickr. Some Flickr users just changed the license to enter the contest and uploaded new photos at Commons.

Well what  I noticed was that some of the users that uploaded on flickr last year, this year uploaded throught commons. The users on flickr mainly upload there because their pictures are allready on flickr.
Another special thing is that last year 2500 pictures where uploaded with flickr this year only 250 (in the netherlands both). So a dramatic drop.
