Dear All,
I'd like to thank you for filling out the calendars order form. With
Belgium and Luxembourg being the last countries :-) I've finally
collected all the orders.
In total, we have ordered a _massive_ sum of 1,000 (a thousand)
calendars -- hurray! :-) I have, however, learned that there are some
other organisations (who are not to be named as of yet) willing to order
our calendars, so if you know anybody who might be interested in
ordering them, too, please let me know off-list.
I'll be placing the order in the upcoming days, and in order to collect
the money for the remaining ~400 calendars, I'll be contacting all the
contact people privately, off-list, with all the payment information, so
please stay tuned! :-)
Having written that, I would like you to think about the budget for
shipping the calendars to all the participating countries; for now, we
are going to ship the calendars to 14 different places around Europe
(excluding Belgium & Luxembourg, Andorra and, for obvious reasons,
Poland), which is going to cost us about €270-300, depending mainly on
the cost of the euro (€), which has been significantly rising for the
past few months (the more expensive the euro is, the better for us :).
As agreed upon our working meeting in Berlin in May, up to now, all the
European-wide Wiki Loves Monuments expenses have been covered by either
Wikimedia Germany, Wikimedia Netherlands or Wikimedia Poland. This time,
however, I am counting on the willingness of the other chapters to
chip-in to cover these expenses :-))
I hope that we can reach an agreement over this case in the upcoming
two-three weeks. All comments and questions are, as always, welcomed.
Again, thanks!
