Hello,

may be it does not suit You at all, but thought, that I would use the travel wiki as a mobile travel guide. If I than happen to see that some monuments in the town I have my holiday are not yet in Commons through WLM, I can either participate in the contest, if the month is September, or simply add the foto to complete the list at any time of the year. Doing something good and having a good time. This could be done by a list "photos still missing" linking each item to its GPS data and the national heritage ID number.

Well the obvious question is what's in it for us? As Yaroslav has pointed out, there will be a lot of work to wikify the ads out. does Wiki travel have cool tools, like maybe a walking-map generator that can be created from a set of coordinates in a monuments list? Because then it seems worth it.

I would, however, personally not do it before the project gets finally accepted by WMF and starts fully operating without ads. Right now it looks like it will be accepted in the end, but some issues still need to be sorted out, and there have been some objections.
