Thanks for your quick answer! I agree, and I think that you can only succeed if the terms are explained at the local level. So maybe "Listed Building (Scotland)" would be the best article to create here. I myself had trouble when I tried to create lists for Belgium and the term "Beschermd erfgoed" was considered inappropriate for anything in Wallonia because it is officially French.

We're using the terms used in the respective state laws. So we have
Kulturdenkmale, Kulturdenkmäler, Baudenkmale, Baudenkmäler, depending
on the region. There were some users who suggested using just one
term, but that was dismissed in a poll, mainly because of the OR
policy.

In general, it's hard for non-heritage-enthusiasts to understand and
appreciate the diversity of terms and names in that field, but I think
that by any means we should stick with the actual and official terms.
