Wiki Loves Earth — the biggest international photo contest devoted to nature heritage — is on! 

 

Our aims are raising public awareness about protected areas and creating the biggest database of free photos of them. After 7 years of local competitions all around the world, Wiki Loves Earth resulted in 585k free photos of natural heritage sites, with around 130k being used in the wikiprojects. 

 

Until the world gets healthier, we have a great opportunity to make this impact even bigger online. The contest runs between May and July, with different dates for each country. This year, 32 countries joined the competition, and we have received over 48k photos so far!
