Actually I just spotted that if you append "&mobileaction=toggle_view_desktop" to the upload urls this will force mobile devices to change to desktop view. Is this maybe something we should apply across all list templates?

You cannot upload images from the mobile interface using the uploadWizard due to a bug[1]. Switching to desktop view should however make it work.
