Hi,

Just picking up on the storyboard suggestion - I am afraid that would remove the whole idea of simplification. With us Wikipedians there is always the danger we want to cover everything and therefore the thing becomes too complicated. If we do a "storyboard" at all at the begin of the upload process, it should be something very simple like "welkom to Wiki Loves Monuments" , a logo and that's it. All the own work and all is covered well enough.

Nuno,
Wow, that would be very cool if you managed to prefill the description from the tables and get the monument ID number!

Something else that came up during our meeting on Sunday for the Dutch competition was the subject of the Wikimedia Commons Licensing tutorial storyboard. I am including the link for those of you who saw it once and then opted never to see it again:

http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Licensing_tutorial_en.svg

basically this is a storyboard "how to upload to commons" and is split into 6 parts:
Lead: Useful Tips when contributing to Wikimedia Commons
Storyboard 1: You may upload works that you created entirely yourself
Storyboard 2: We can't accept works created or inspired by others
Storyboard 3: ...with two main exceptions
Storyboard 4: In conclusion...
End: Still unsure? Ask the Help desk.

We may adjust this screen for each country "campaign", or even leave it out altogether (for example, those participants who choose the Flickr group as an option will never see this page).

Nuno, if you are able to pre-fill some fields, then that would be totally awesome and this point can just be ignored, but Lodewijk mentioned that it may be useful to use this page to remind the user of the list of participating countries with a link to where the upload links are, since you can only upload to one country per "Wikimedia Commons upload campaign".

If a licensing tutorial is used, I suggest making it more compact by removing Storyboard 2/3/4 and changing the lead and end a bit to reflect the competition, such as including the name of the country in the lead or the country WLM workgroup instead of Help desk in the end, or something like that.
