Oh, great. I thought that the contest was only for monuments from Austria. So, Spanish monuments in German can participate in both contest. But they should list the articles also on the coordination page on Meta.

We'll spread also the word about your contest.

Hi Santi and all others!

We opended the writing contest for de.WP in German language, called "Denkmal-Cup". Every protected monument all over the world may be described in German language for this challenge. Many editors of de.WP, who are experienced writers, will be part of it. All the monuments of Spain can also get a featured article. So maybe the author of an article about a Spanish monument can even win two prices :). We are going to announce the Spanish challenge on the website of the writing contest in de.WP:

Hello to everybody!

Great idea. Austria will launch a text contribution contest about Austrian monuments following this year's WLM-photograph contest too, but it is planned only in the German language version of Wikipedia. We did not think about internationalizing that Wikipedia contest. But maybe we can take part of the Spanish contest too.

In Austria we have great interest to get articles about monuments in foreign countries in the German language. Last year we got all the lists of protected monuments from Slovakia and many people helped to translate them into German. So this may be the only case that lists of monuments are completely translated into another language version of Wikipedia. This year we have a special prize for new photos of some monuments of the neighbouring regions of Austria. It would be nice to have more international Wikipedia-text-cooperations around WLM next year.
