We just shared a blog post on behalf of Alexander and Yaroslav (cc-ed)
in Wiki Loves Monuments blog. The blog post tells you about the
experimental contest they are organizing this year as part of Wiki
Loves Monuments called the Banners Contest.
The idea is simple: For every photo that your participants upload as
part of Wiki Loves Monuments 2017, they can crop the photo at a 7:1
ratio and upload it as part of the Banners contest, too. The 7:1 photo
can be used to improve Wikivoyage pages. This contest has its own jury
and award. Please read more about it in the blog post [1] and/or the
Banners page [2].
Also, please consider sharing a short description of the Banners
contest along with a link to its landing page from your Wiki Loves
Monuments 2017 landing page.
If you have questions for the organizers, please share them in this
thread or in Commons [3].
