Dear international participants of WIki Loves Monuments contests,
As you might already know, Wikimedia Czech Republic decided to join WLM for 2012. And like many of the chapters, WM CZ is also among those, who will most likely finance it by it's own. It ain't easy to get some sponsors who would like to participate in this contest, but some recent events showed there is going to be a company, who would like to join. The only problem is - they want to know, how much will the WLM pages be visited by people (due to a theoretical banner). So,I am interested: Is it possible for us in WM CZ to get some data how much were these pages - for example:
* http://www.wikilovesmonuments.eu/
* http://www.wikilovesmonuments.de/
* http://www.wikilovesmonuments.it/
* http://wikizabytki.pl/
* http://www.wikilovesmonuments.org.pt/
visited? Thanks a lot.
Aktron

Hi everyone,
In the tradition of the Wikimedia office hours we are going to have Wiki
Loves Monuments office hours. We invite everyone who is working on
organizing Wiki Loves Monuments to join the #Wikilovesmonuments irc
channel on Freenode on Wednesday 2 May 20:30 (CEST). You can talk with
other people who are organizing and maybe dealing with the same
challenges and talk with the international organization [1].
You can use your favorite irc client or you can access Freenode by going
to http://webchat.freenode.net/, typing in the nickname of your choice
and choosing wikilovesmonuments as the channel.
We plan to do this regular basis depending on the feedback we get.
Maarten

Hi all,
I thought you might be the right crew to be interested and in a good
position to give your opinion and comment on what I find an
interesting idea for a new Wikimedia Project, that of a travel wiki.
To make a long story short, a number of people who are currently
active on another Wiki (about) Travel have asked if the WMF would
consider taking them on into a new Wikimedia Project, a wiki travel
guide.
I think this fits extremely well with WLM, so I'd find it great if
those among you that are interested would go and comment here:
Proposal and interested people: http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wiki_Travel_Guide
Discussion: http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Talk:Wiki_Travel_Guide
Request for comments:

Dear colleagues! I'm pleased to inform that the Russian WLM team is
calmly yet persistently working on organization of the competition.
Now it's time for a call for help, a bit easy and maybe funny one: we
need your "likes". The work with the WLM database was the weakest
issue last year; and this year, with expansion of covered territory,
it could become critical. We have preliminary agreements, and this
event is just a first in the row, but we would like to pass a formal
procedure and to attract attention of those St. Petersburg inhabitants
(as the event will be held in St. Petersburg) who will participate the
development at this stage. So, please, participate the voting for the
idea: it's that case, when a simple click really matters :)
