Hello everybody,
I've written http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Wiki_Loves_Monuments/Organizing_a… this page with some basic instructions.
I'm sure I've missed some things, that my English is far from perfect and that I made mistakes because I'm biased by the Wiki takes I've been to.So please make improvements on that, or give feedback.
Another thing is that I would like some case studies.I'm especially interested in case studies from Wiki takes which where organized in a special way or where succesful.I'd like case studies from: Cologne, Mittelhesse, Andorra, Lisboa or Porto.
I'm also interested in case studies from other Wiki takes in the past, especially if they had a different concept. I'm thinking about Montreal, Manilla, the US ones and there is lots of them I haven't heared of yet, everything is welcome.
Mvg,
Bas
Hi folks,
we should probably revisit the topic of communication for 2012. Do we want
to keep the current structure (one big mailing list and a bunch of stuff
happening in cc-mail) or do we want to move to a tiered structure? My
thoughts:
* A mailing list for the core coordination team - mainly the boring and
confidential stuff. Closed mailing list.
* A mailing list for all organizers world wide - mailing to exchange
thoughts and get people moving when something needs to get done together.
* Mailing lists per country - or whatever works best for you.
Any ideas?
Lodewijk
Hello all,
Laura suggested that we send an European Wiki Loves Monument person to Canberra for http://en.wikiversity.org/wiki/University_of_Canberra/RCC2012
I think they will be enthousiastic, even more when we got an experienced user there.
Greetings - Romaine
Hi all,
the jury is almost finished. Tomorrow morning I will draw conclusions from
the jury deliberations. We will announce them on Thursday in Rotterdam at
the bi-annual DISH conference. I understood from Wikimedia France that they
would like the results under embargo on Tuesday for an interview that will
be published on Friday. Is there anyone else who would need the results
before the announcements - to prepare a press release, or anything else? Of
course under embargo (which means you will be banned from eating
stroopwafels for the rest of your life if you announce it too early) and
I'll try to restrict the group a bit. Please reply to this email if that is
the case and share also why :)
Best,
Lodewijk
Hi all,
just a short note: A German Wikipedia user has got a letter from a
lawyer (in German "Abmahnung", in English [[en:Abmahnung]] too) to
delete the image of a momument.

WMDE will support the Wikipedia in this legal case.
