Yesterday, we reached the halfway mark of Wiki Loves Earth 2019.
The contest has already ended in 13 countries, with some deciding to extend
a local contest by the end of June. Thanks to organizers and participants
of each contest for their work.
According to the statistics at
https://tools.wmflabs.org/wikiloves/, this
year's contest has already brought around 55,000 photos of nature protected
areas from across the world. That's a good result, but we still have a way
to go
14 new countries have started Wiki Loves Earth on June 1st. That's Canada,
Sri Lanka, Benin, Cameroon, Croatia, Italy, Bulgaria, Tanzania, Uganda,
Georgia, Bangladesh, Thailand, Malaysia, and Chile.
