We have organized WLE in Uruguay from May 1st to June 15th with a Facebook campaign so that people have more time to upload the pics. So far, we have about 300 pics uploaded and more than 1000 likes in our Facebook page, which is not bad for a Facebook page in Uruguay.

We are thinking of giving a prize to the winner (a tablet and a stay at a hotel near a forest in Uruguay). We are also thinking of creating some nominations for good pics of each protected area in Uruguay with merchandizing such as calendars and t-shits. What do you think about it? How are you doing?

In France, there is a « picture of the day » selection (without any price) : https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Wiki_Loves_Earth_2015_in_France/Image_du_jour . It's easier (mostly because some day it's hard to find a good picture :s).

A selection by protected area is a bit harder but seems definitively better to me. Obviously, it depends on the number of protected areas, it's a good choice for Uruguay and its 15 areas, not so much for France and its 377 areas and impossible for countries with thousands areas.
