Short answer: yes, it will take place in 2016, we (WMUA) have just got WMF approve funding of WLE 2016. Preparations required are similar to that of WLM (in particular it is highly recommended to have official lists of natural heritage).

Long answer with more details (and pages on Commons) will follow early January after the holidays :)

Is WLE taking place in 2016, what preparation needs to be done for Australia to participate this year

I've looked over 2015 pages on commons I'll be able to create whats there for Australia are there any other data creation requirements like WLM has
