Wikipedia has its own set of APIs using which we can retrieve information by using various queris and parameters. The output can be generated in various formats. These output can be used for processing by programming languages as input. These will be demonstrated. https://barcampbangalore.org/bcb/monsoon-2014/pywikipedia-and-wikimetrics In the sub-section we will cover in detail how wikimetrics work in terms of tracking a Wikipedia user’s contributions. On the flip side, we will be learning how to use Pywikipedia bot framework to improve and enhance Wikipedia articles. Prior python knowledge is required.
