I think having a test wiki is excellent. Many thanks. This is a critical step towards one day being our own sister site. This will increase our reputation significantly.JOn Fri, Jul 7, 2017 at 1:36 PM, <wikijournal-en-request@lists.wikimedia.org > wrote:Send WikiJournal-en mailing list submissions to

Hi, thanks or the initiative! Thought a test wiki makes some sense, I must
say that my first thought is that it isn't necessary at this point. We
should be more concerned in getting contributors and content than in
migrating everything and setting up a new home. I see no great advantages
and I do see lots of extra work. But maybe you see big advantages?

As I did migrate content from wikis few times, I assure you it's hard to move from a wikiproject to an entire wiki once you're really "rooted" in the wiki + You are not free to organize your project because you share a wiki (no custom Sidebar, Extensions, configuration, CSS, categories). But do what you want ! :)

I see no need either for a separate test wiki. The only move we should make
is the day WikiJournal becomes a separate sister project.
Best regards,
Mikael
