Dear fellow Wikijournal editorial team,
I apologize if some of you receive nearly duplicated or even triplicated mail on the issue but I still have not heard from most of you. As some of you already know I have been working on video content for us. Although I would love to already open a Youtube channel for us, I know it would be a mistake without consensus around many issues.
I am going to send out a few video clips, which I made unlisted so they can not be viewed without the link most of which were meant as the start of a longer video. I hope that at the least they can be recycled into social media if there is not enough consensus to start a Youtube. I am not going to keep working on the project if there will not be a consensus.
About the content: Most of the videos have footage that has been cleared by the stock company I contract with to be used by WikiJournals for free (I already corresponded with them and have it in writing) and other material included is my own animations and music donated for our free use by Sarah Dickerson Baxter. This is to say, this was all made for free so far.
I have already heard from Kelee Pacion, Sarah Vital, Mossab Banat and Gwinyai Masukume. Due to my upcoming work issues, I would like a decision on
this sooner as opposed to later so I can schedule accordingly assuming I will be the main one working on it.
Please reply to me as soon as possible with one or more of the following statements:
1. I am against having any Youtube channels and video content because _____________
2. I am for having one big Youtube channel for all the journals
3. I am for having Youtube channels for ____ Journal, but not the others
4. I want further discussion and clarification on ___________
5. I am for having separate Youtube channels for each Journal
6. I am not only happy about the idea of video content, I will help produce some
7. Something else __________________
8. I trust the social media people can sort this without me, so you can stop sending me emails about the issue
9. I think we should have a channel if we vote for each video and discuss it as a group until there is consent over every video
