Some one recommended I join this group. Myself and several members from Wikinews (representing three different language projects) are in the pre-stage planning phase before going live with a proposal to create a Wikinews related thematic organization. Iceland has strong journalist protections and is recognized around the world for having these. Thus, as reporters, we ideally want our organization to be registered in the country.
If there is anyone on this list from Iceland who is interested in becoming involved with this, as we really need an Icelander to guide us through the local processes, please get in touch with me. If we do this, we would also look for ways to support the local Icelandic projects where possible and would specifically address the country in any organizational bylaws.
