This is the sort of hypocrisy that us "troll
vandals from hell" are referring
to when we speak of the cabal and its disinformation and blatant lying.
Yeah, I did think that it was ironic that JTD was a bit rude
in his post complaining about Fred's rudeness.
In fact, that's a rather common irony -- your post was rude too.
Heck, my post is rude. In fact, it's rude to call somebody rude!
(Isn't that a beautiful rule?)
But you're way off base about the cabal.
After all, Fred is a sysop -- and JTD isn't!
Indeed, this whole discussion occured because
Fred objected to JTD's being made a sysop.
Now it appears that JTD will be a sysop after all --
but Fred will continue to be one as well.
It is absurd beyond belief that this sort of behavior
continues. What next?
Will Fred be the next vandal troll from hell? Almost certainly he is next on
their hit list.
People will continue to accuse Fred of vandalism and trollishness,
and his opponents will continue to be accused of the same thing.
That's the nature of grudges -- and even if Fred or JTD leaves,
or if time passes and they start to get along with each other,
still these things will continue to occur with other people.
OTOH, I think that every regular user agreed that you harmed the project,
even including the people (like me) that had some sympathy towards you
and thought that this could change. So there is a difference!
I still hope that you might be able to come back some day.
But that will require the laying aside of grudges, on both sides.
Let me say: It would be nice for once if Jtdirl showed
even the slightest
willingness to work with me (or anyone else outside of his tight clique of
Tannin, mav, zoe, 172, & co), rather than stooping to personal abuse, slander
and defamation - something which he manages to do in nearly everything he
writes.
