Tonight, you’re all gonna be a part of a social experiment. Through the magic of hacking skills and steward powers, I’m ready right now to blow your minds sky high. Anyone attempts to block me or revert, you all get desysopped.
Each of you has a button to block another editor. At midnight, I desysop and block you all. If, however, one of you indefinitely blocks as many constructive editors as you can, I’ll let that admin keep their admin powers. So, who’s it gonna be? Wikipedia’s most-wanted scumbag collection or the sweet and innocent contributors? You choose. Oh, and you might wanna decide quickly because the other administrators may not be quite so noble. — The Joker

I got the same message from [[User: Joe Ker]] back on Thursday night. That user was subsequently blocked after I notified admins on IRC (#wikipedia-en) about the situation.

Er... yes. And by the magic power vested in this rock and their super-hacking skills, they shall also turn all editors into modern Swiss historians at the same time, fix the world economy, and invent faster-than-light travel.
In other words, ignore it.

And besides, it's not like a compromised admin could do permanent damage. Unlike a few years ago, everything can be reverted.

I doubt it. All the old admin accounts seem to be getting _Batman_ related emails from phantom accounts; mine, for example, was just a lengthy quote of Joker's 'Why so serious?' speech.

It's been positively identified by the checkusers as one of the most stupidly persistent cross-wiki troll-vandals and is best ignored.

I got the same message from user 'Rx StrangeLove' the other night. To whom, if anyone, should it be reported to? Brian

You should report it to me, so that I can laugh about it being Wikibomb III.
For those poor souls who can't read Wikipedia's community history archive (a.k.a. Special:Undelete):

Not sure where the second one is. This is at least the third though. Don't worry folks, if worst comes to worst, we'll just unplug the servers from the wall. Then for a short time while we fix up any damage, you'll have to edit Wikipedia by post. We'll have teams of trained monkeys standing by to do the retyping.

I got the same message yesterday from a [[User:The One & Only Fools and Horses]], which doesn't appear to be blocked yet. Was I the only one that received it? Also, this seems to be a (somewhat?) legitimate account...sort of. A different user, [[User:El-Pabloski]], is attempting to take over this name by simply moving his user page to the new name's location. Does this mean whoever actually had the account was the one that sent the email, and not Pabloski? I'll leave this to people more technically capable than myself to solve the mystery.
