Phoebe Ayers will discuss the development and future of Wikipedia - a
multilingual, web-based, free content encyclopedia project.
Ms. Phoebe Ayers has been a Wikipedia editor, lecturer, promoter since
2003. She was the Program Coordinator for Wikimania 2006 and on the
selection committee for Wikimania 2007 and again is on the committee
for 2008. She has been a member of the Wikipedia special projects
committee since 2006.
Note they yanked the bio from my userpage, so it's somewhat dated. But
yes, as always, ideas for what to talk about and attendees are welcome
:)
This reminds me that [[m:Presentations]] and
[[Wikipedia:Presentations]] are both in desparate need of updating. I
gave half a dozen presentations last year about WP, and I'm sure lots
of others did as well... does anyone maintain a better list of talks
about Wikipedia anywhere?
cheers,
