Hi. I'm working on KLF discography. To aid with formatting, I created two templates. The image thumbnails I am using get passed as arguments to the templates. I've noticed that, presumably as a result of the use of a template, the Image page doesn't know that the image is being used in an article (see e.g. Image:The KLF- Burn The Bastards.jpg). I'm worried that some bot will come along and say "right, they're not being used", and list them for deletion.
If you can suggest a way round this or what might be causing it please leave a message on my talk page (as I've asked several people). Guy (JzG)
Wouldn't a note on the image page to that effect suffice?

"What links here" for images is already known-unreliable. A note on the image description page should suffice.

It should be perfectly reliable for pages edited since the job queue was deployed, on February 24 or thereabouts. I'll take any bug report related to link tables very seriously. The problem in this case appears to be that the cache of the image description pages is not invalidated when the list of links changes. I'll see if I can fix it right now.

I think there is a template for images designed to notify of non- visible uses (its not just templates - also audio is normally linked in such a way).
Cant remember what though.
Have heard both of the KLF play solo, and know people who know them. Wouldnt be surprised if they had edited WP.

It's {{notorphan|pagename}} where 'pagename' is the article (or template) where the image is used.
